GitHub File Hider hides selected files on the Files changed page of GitHub pull requests, so you can review the code that matters first.
- Turn on the Tests and Lockfiles presets, or write your own rules such as docs/** or **/generated/**.
- Keep important files visible with Always show rules.
- Hide files in one pull request with one click, remembered for that pull request, or in every pull request with automatic mode.
- Show all files again at any time. A direct link to a hidden file reveals it and explains why.
- Choose whether matching files also leave the sidebar tree.
- Follows GitHub's light and dark themes.
Privacy: no account, no server, no tracking. Settings are stored only in your browser. The extension runs only on github.com and changes only what you see. It never changes files, comments, reviews, or viewed state.
