The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About GeoSurfer

Not all who surf Google Maps are lost. Google Maps Surfer tracks how many hours, minutes, and seconds you surf on www.google.com/maps since installing the extension. You can also log any previous hours to help bump those numbers up. Happy surfing! Note: If you're wondering why anyone would "surf" Google Maps, why not?
