About GenClass: your browser productivity assistant

GenClass helps you get work done in Chrome: control pages by voice, filter ads, keep distracting tabs out of the way, and reduce memory used by idle tabs. Its AI runs on your device by default. VOICE CONTROL Say what you want to do: click a link, type into a field, search, scroll, navigate, or switch tabs. GenClass can act on a complete command while you are still speaking. When a target is unclear, it numbers the candidates so you can choose one. AD FILTERING Hide marked ads and sponsored blocks, see the hidden-block count on the toolbar badge, and control filtering per website. Hidden blocks can be shown again. Filtering uses recognizable ad and sponsored markers; it does not promise to remove every ad. FOCUS MODE Tell GenClass what you are working on. It scores tabs against that task and parks unrelated tabs after a grace period, with one-click undo. Relevance estimates can be imperfect, so parking is reversible. RAM MANAGEMENT When available system memory is low, GenClass parks eligible idle tabs to release their memory. Restore them with one click when you need them. Focus mode and RAM management protect pinned tabs, tabs playing audio, the active tab, and tabs with unsaved input. YOUR SETTINGS, YOUR SESSION Ad filtering, focus mode, and RAM management are off by default. Enable the features you want in Settings. Browser commands run in live mode by default. Turn live mode off to preview actions in dry run. You can also type complete commands into the panel. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Moonshine speech recognition and the decision model run locally using WebGPU or your CPU. The developer receives no audio, page contents, browsing data, or analytics. Chrome's optional built-in speech engine sends audio to Google; this is disclosed in Settings. VOICE EXAMPLES • "search for weather in Toronto" • "click sign in" • "type hello world in the search box and press enter" • "scroll down a little" • "go back" or "open a new tab" • "switch to YouTube" for an existing tab CONTROL AND SAFETY Actions that send, submit, buy, delete, or close require a later spoken "confirm". GenClass does not type into password or card fields and does not act on browser internal pages, banking sites, or password managers. Press Esc, click Stop all, or use Alt+Shift+K to stop actions. Alt+Shift+G toggles listening. SETUP Chrome 116 or later is required. First use downloads the GenClass decision model (57–67 MB) and default Moonshine speech model (63–154 MB); both are cached. Optional local Whisper speech engines are also available. Whisper large-v3 Turbo requires WebGPU. GenClass is free and open source (Apache-2.0): https://github.com/MeharPro/GenClass Support: https://github.com/MeharPro/GenClass/issues GenClass is an independent project, not affiliated with TypeSafe or its Jev product.
