This extension provides: - Automatic speech playback of Gemini responses - Japanese / English / Korean / French / German / Spanish voice switching - Adjustable speech speed - Optional conversation log saving - Log saving using Google Apps Script When log saving is enabled, conversation data is transmitted only to the Google Apps Script Web App URL configured by the user. The extension does not include or connect to any built-in external server. Users may optionally implement their own Google Apps Script endpoint to store learning logs or conversation history. The following fields may be sent to the configured Google Apps Script endpoint: - logId - threadId - threadTitle - question - answer - pageUrl No data is sent anywhere else. New in Version 2.0 - Voice input (optimized for English conversation practice) - Continuous voice input mode - Automatic restart of speech recognition - Improved conversation practice workflow When voice input is started by the user, the extension accesses the microphone through the browser's speech recognition feature. Voice data is processed by the browser's speech recognition feature and is not stored, transmitted, sold, or shared by the extension itself. Only the recognized text is inserted into the Gemini input box. New in Version 3.0 - Added a function to save conversations with Gemini as PDFs. - Added a status light to check the log saving status. - Fixed minor bugs. New in Version 4.0 - Added voice input support for Korean, French, German, and Spanish - Added text-to-speech support for Korean, French, German, and Spanish - Improved the design of the settings screen This allows learning and conversation practice using Japanese, English, Korean, French, German, and Spanish. The text-to-speech language is automatically determined from the characters and words contained in the entire Gemini response. If a response contains multiple languages, it may be read aloud in the primary language. Depending on the timing of log output, duplicate logs may occasionally be recorded. New in Version 4.1 - The main panel can now be moved. - The settings panel can now be scrolled. Notes on foreign-language text-to-speech The available voices and the naturalness of speech may vary depending on the voices installed on the device and in the browser. For more natural Korean text-to-speech on Chromebooks, install the Korean voice for Google TTS. If voice installation is restricted, consult your system administrator about allowing additional Google TTS voices.
