The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About GA4 Inspector
- Event capture: with “Capture at source (dataLayer)” (default on), every dataLayer push and gtag event is captured and replayed on Start; optional “GA4 only” filter hides GTM internals. With it off, capture is from GA4 `collect` requests only (strict allow-list: `www.google-analytics.com` collect endpoints).
- Freemium: Free tier (event list, expandable inspector, 200 events/session); Pro (export, duplicate analysis, click coverage, unlimited events).
- Side panel UI: persistent panel. Start/Stop capture, Clear, Export CSV, Copy CSV, Export PDF (Pro), Events tab, Click coverage (Pro), Debug tab. Onboarding and What’s new.
- Expandable event inspector: Event name, Measurement ID, Client ID, Session ID, Page URL; Standard vs Custom parameters (tabs); Raw JSON; Copy JSON; Diff vs previous event; Diagnostics/warnings.
- Diagnostics: Warnings for purchase (missing value/currency/items), >25 params, param name length, invalid naming, possible PII, duplicate within 500ms.
- Click coverage: Content script records clicks; background correlates clicks with GA4 events within 500ms. Timeline shows “Not tracked” or “→ event_name”.
