The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About FTP

The extension ensures that whenever a new tab is opened, it automatically redirects to chrome://new-tab-page, overriding any attempts to manipulate the default behavior such as accessing the default new tab page (chrome://newtab/) or extension pages (chrome-extension://). This prevents unauthorized tampering with tab settings and encourages users to utilize the default setting of chrome://new-tab-page.
