Focus Tab Locker

Focus Tab Locker is a lightweight productivity extension that reduces tab-switching distractions. Lock your focus to one tab while working, studying, or completing an important task. Key Features * Single-Tab Focus: Choose one tab as your focused tab. Other tabs remain open, but Focus Tab Locker returns you to the locked tab while Focus Mode is active. * 3-Second Countdown: When you switch to another tab, a clear countdown appears before returning you to the locked tab. * Return Immediately: Select “Return to locked tab” during the countdown to go back immediately. * Temporary Pause: Pause Focus Mode for 5 minutes or choose a custom duration when you need temporary access to another tab. * Clear Active State: The toolbar lock icon turns red while Focus Mode is active. * Automatic Cleanup: Focus Mode turns off automatically if the locked tab is closed. * Restart Handling: If Chrome restores the locked tab after restarting, Focus Tab Locker reconnects to it. If the tab is unavailable, Focus Mode turns off automatically. * Non-Destructive: The extension never closes your tabs. All tabs remain available when Focus Mode is paused or disabled. Note: Chrome-restricted pages cannot display the countdown overlay. The countdown will appear on the toolbar badge instead. How to Use 1. Open the tab you want to focus on. 2. Click the Focus Tab Locker toolbar icon to enable Focus Mode. 3. If you switch tabs, wait for the countdown or select “Return to locked tab.” 4. Use the pause controls if you temporarily need another tab. 5. Click the toolbar icon again to disable Focus Mode. Privacy Focus Tab Locker operates entirely on your device. It uses Chrome’s local storage to remember the Focus Mode status, locked tab information, and pause state. No personal information is collected, transmitted, sold, or stored externally.
