The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Focus Sentence
When you read something long, it is easy to lose your place. Focus Sentence keeps the part you are reading clear and gently dims everything else, so your eyes settle where they should.
◼︎ Two reading modes
1. Line mode
Puts a horizontal "spotlight" band on the page and darkens everything outside it. Drag the handle to move it, grab an edge to resize it, and slide it down the page as you read.
2. Sentence mode
Detects real sentences in the page text and highlights the one you are reading while fading the rest. It highlights 3 sentences by default, adjustable from 1 to 10. Arrow keys (or Space) slide the highlight forward one sentence at a time, so the sentence you just read stays on screen and your flow is not interrupted.
◼︎ It follows where you are reading
1. Follow cursor (default) — The sentence under your pointer is highlighted. Scroll the page and it keeps tracking the spot your pointer is resting on.
2. Follow scroll — Instead of the cursor, the highlight follows the sentence you scroll into view.
3. Or turn both off and move with the arrow keys alone.
◼︎ Tune it to your eyes
1. Fine-tune spotlight size, position, and opacity with steppers or direct input
2. Adjust highlight color, how much the surrounding text fades, and how many sentences to highlight at once
3. Save your favorite setups as presets
4. "Match page background" — paints outside the spotlight with the page background color instead of black, for a softer, cleaner focus
5. Available in English and Korean (follows your browser language)
◼︎ Light and private
1. All settings stay inside your browser.
2. No personal data is collected, and nothing is sent anywhere.
3. Page content and URLs are never stored or transmitted.
4. No account or sign-in required.
Especially useful if your attention drifts while reading, if you work through long documents, or if you have dyslexic tendencies and need to focus one line at a time.
