The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Focus Scroll — Reader Mode & Highlighter
Most reader modes clean up the page and stop there. Focus Scroll goes one step further: it keeps your eyes on the line you're actually reading.
THE FOCUS ZONE
As you scroll, text flows through a focus zone in the middle of your screen — sharpening as it enters, gently fading and blurring as it leaves. The paragraph you're reading is always crisp; everything above and below softly recedes. No more eyes wandering across a wall of text, no more losing your place, less eye fatigue on long reads.
HIGHLIGHT AND REMEMBER (new)
- Select any text to highlight it in one of three colors
- Attach notes to your highlights
- Highlights are saved and reappear the next time you open the same article
- A panel lists every highlight in the article — click one to jump to it
- Copy any quote with the article title and link attached, ready to paste
- Export all highlights and notes as Markdown (copy, or download a .md file)
MADE FOR COMFORTABLE READING
- Clean reader view: ads, sidebars, and clutter removed
- Four themes — Light, Sepia, Paper, and Dark — each verified for comfortable reading contrast
- Adjustable text size, sans and serif typefaces, and OpenDyslexic for dyslexic readers
- Narrow, medium, or wide focus zone — you choose how much stays in focus
- Remembers your reading position when you close and reopen an article
- Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+F
- Respects your system's reduced-motion setting
PRIVACY
Focus Scroll runs entirely on your device. No account, no tracking, no ads. Your highlights and notes are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere. What you read is your business.
