FloatNote - Web Highlighter

FloatNote is a sleek, privacy-first Chrome extension that lets you highlight text directly on web pages and jot down floating, movable sticky notes that save automatically. Whether you are a student researching a paper, a professional reading articles, or just someone who loves keeping track of important information, FloatNote is the ultimate minimal productivity companion. ✨ Key Features: ✍️ Web Highlighting: Select any text on any webpage and instantly highlight it with beautiful, customizable neon colors. Your highlights are saved locally and persist even if you close the tab or refresh the page! 📝 Floating Sticky Notes: Spawn movable, resizable sticky notes right on top of your current webpage. Drag them wherever you need them, minimize them into tiny colored pills to save space, and quickly expand them when you need to read your thoughts. 🎨 Custom Color Palettes: Ditch the boring defaults. FloatNote lets you fully customize your highlight and sticky note colors to match your aesthetic. 🌗 Seamless Dark Mode: A stunning, modern interface that fully respects your system's light or dark mode preferences, complete with smooth animations and glassmorphism effects. ⚡ Keyboard Shortcuts: Quickly toggle your entire FloatNote overview sidebar on or off with a simple shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+X or Cmd+Shift+X). 🗂️ Centralized Sidebar: View all of your highlights and notes across a webpage in one clean, filterable sidebar. Simply click a note or highlight in the sidebar to instantly scroll to its exact location on the page. 🔒 Privacy First (Offline by Default) We believe your notes are your business. FloatNote is a "local-first" extension. We do NOT track you, we do NOT require an account, and we do NOT send your text to any external servers. Every single highlight and note is saved securely and entirely on your own computer's local storage. Work smarter, stay organized, and keep your web clean with FloatNote!
