Flight Ticket Alert finds the cheapest last-minute flight tickets leaving the airports you choose —
to anywhere, to one city, or to a whole country — and tells you how old every price is.
WHY THE AGE MATTERS
Flight deal sites quote a fare and let you discover at checkout that it expired days ago. Fare
databases are caches of what other people searched recently, not live quotes. We measured a real
feed of 498 dated fares and sorted it the way deal sites do, by price alone: nine of the ten
cheapest results were more than a day old. A price that looks impossibly good usually looks that
way because it stopped being true.
So this extension stamps every fare with the hour it was found, hides stale ones by default, and
says "from 57 €" instead of pretending 57 € is the price you will pay.
WHAT YOU GET
• Pick your own airports — type a city or a three-letter code, add as many as you like. Tap one to
mute it without deleting it.
• Fly anywhere, or pick where to — leave the destination on "Anywhere" to see every cheap trip,
choose a city (Barcelona, Lisbon, LON…) to see every date on that route, or choose a country
("Anywhere in Spain") to see the best fare to each of its cities.
• A freshness filter — show only prices found in the last 6 hours, 24 hours, 2 days, or drop the
limit entirely. Sources that never say when a price was found are excluded.
• Sorting that does not reward staleness — the default ranks on price plus a staleness surcharge,
so a cheap fresh fare beats a suspiciously cheap old one.
• Seven sorting modes — best bets, cheapest, best value per 1000 km, price per night, leaving
soonest, most recently found, and furthest for the price.
• Filters for direct flights, weekend trips, nights away and a maximum price.
• A toolbar badge counting new deals under your price since you last looked.
ALERTS
Save a search with a price ceiling — from your airports to anywhere, to one city or to a whole
country — and choose where to hear about it: a desktop notification, an
email with the full list, or a text message with the single best fare. Each fare is announced once,
so a deal you have already seen never pings you twice. Email and text alerts keep running on our
server, so they reach you whether or not your browser is open.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT CANNOT DO
It cannot promise a cached price is the price you pay. Opening a fare starts a real search at the
booking site, and that search decides. What it can honestly do is tell you how likely the number is
to still hold — which is what the age stamp is for.
Fare data comes from the Travelpayouts network. Booking happens on the airline or travel agency
site, never inside the extension. Links carry an affiliate identifier, so we may earn a commission
on a booking at no extra cost to you.
