About Fili — Filigrane Guard: watermark IDs before you upload

Your ID is already in a dozen databases. One leak is enough. A leaked copy of your ID card or payslip is all it takes to open an account, take out a loan, or rent in your name. Fili stamps a visible watermark on the copy BEFORE you upload it — a marked copy is harder to a fraudster to reuse. And nothing ever leaves your browser. HOW IT WORKS 1. You attach a file, anywhere. 2. Fili recognises it locally, by name or by content — even a photographed document: a passport named IMG_4021.jpg is recognised. 3. A dialog offers the watermark, with a live preview and editable text — for example "Document for a rental application only". 4. You choose: watermark and send, send the original, or cancel. The site receives the file under its original name. Works wherever you upload documents: listing sites, agency portals, online forms and webmail — attachment, drag-and-drop and paste are all covered. BUILT (NOT ONLY) FOR THE RENTAL DOSSIER Renting a flat means handing a stranger your ID, payslips, your tax notice, rent receipts, your employment contract — and the same again for your guarantor. Fili recognises every piece of a rental dossier: ID card, passport, driving licence, residence permit, health card, bank details (IBAN), payslips, tax notices, rent receipts, employment contract... These are the same documents banks, insurers and government services ask for: Fili recognises them everywhere, not only on rental sites. PRIVACY IS THE ARCHITECTURE • 100% local: detection and watermarking run in your browser. No server, no account — your files never leave. Fili sends only a count of watermarked documents, to get a sense of the usage; off in one click. • Your files never leave your browser. Analysis produces a verdict ("this looks like a passport") and nothing else — nothing is kept out of your control. • Metadata removed by default: EXIF and GPS from photos, title and author from PDFs. ALSO INCLUDED • iPhone photos (HEIC) converted to JPEG locally, then watermarked. • Copies over 2 MB are reduced at constant quality — a crisp document, never a blurry one. • Full dossier: watermark every supporting document at once and download a single merged PDF. • Watermark strength, size cap, quality and metadata adjustable right in the dialog. Fili is free. If it helps you, you can buy the developer a coffee. Fili is an independent project. The official service uploads your document to its servers to watermark it; Fili does the same job without the document ever leaving your machine.
