FileScan.IO Chrome Extension

FileScan.IO is a free service that provides malware detection via rapid dynamic analysis. Using this chrome extension, you can quickly scan any file or URL via the context menu and/or automatically all downloaded files. Using the unique analysis technology offered within the FileScan.IO analysis engine, even targeted attacks (such as macro-enabled excel sheets with environment-aware checks) are quickly detected (within 30 seconds). Furthermore, the comprehensive reports allow previewing the file contents giving an overall safe experience. This extension is free of charge and offered to the IT-security and wider community. Under the hood, FileScan.IO acts like a real-time sandbox and does not only detect malware, but also extracts Indicators of Compromise ("IOCs") for a wide range of malicious file types. The analysis depth goes beyond traditional AV scanning software and is able to outperform sandboxing in speed and accuracy.
