Festive Flyby

Start and end your day with a smile. Festive Flyby sends a little character gliding across the page you're on — twice a day: ☀️ GOOD MORNING — The first time you use Chrome each morning, a cheerful sun (with coffee!) flies by with a line for the day: "It's Friday! 🎉", "New week, let's go 💪". 🌙 END OF DAY — At the time you choose (6 PM by default), a sleepy moon drifts past to tell you it's time to wrap up: "That's a wrap for today 🌙". Away from Chrome at that time? It waits and appears when you come back. 🎃 HALLOWEEN (Oct 1–31) — A witch on her broomstick, bats and all, with a countdown to Halloween. 🎅 CHRISTMAS (Dec 1–26) — Santa, his sleigh and reindeer, with a countdown to Christmas. ALWAYS EASY TO SEE The card flips to the opposite of your system theme — white in dark mode, black in light mode — so it stands out on any page. NEVER IN THE WAY - Shows at most once each per day - Never blocks clicks — press Esc to dismiss - Respects "reduce motion" (fades instead of flying) - Turn off the morning or evening greeting, change the evening time, or limit it to holiday seasons only PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no tracking, no network requests. Settings stay in your browser. Site access is optional and used only to draw the animation — Festive Flyby never reads your pages. All artwork is original. New festival seasons 🏹 Navratri & Dussehra (Oct 11–20 this year): a flaming arrow with dandiya sticks. The message counts the Navratri days (“Navratri day 5 · 5 days to Dussehra”). 🪔 Diwali (Oct 21 – Nov 11): a diya with rangoli and a phuljhadi, and crackers bursting across the screen (more of them on Diwali day). Dhanteras, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj each get their own message. 🎨 Holi, 🧵 Raksha Bandhan and 🌼 Ganesh Chaturthi, each with its own artwork and a countdown. The next ones are in 2027.
