The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About ExtPulse
ExtPulse watches your Chrome extensions in the background and alerts you the moment something goes wrong — before your workflows break or your customers notice.
What it monitors:
• Extensions getting silently disabled
• Zombie extensions (enabled but stopped responding)
• Version changes that may break integrations
• Permission changes
How it works:
ExtPulse runs a background health check every minute. When it detects a problem, it fires a browser notification and turns the toolbar badge red or amber. The badge stays lit until the issue is actually resolved — so you'll still see it if you were away from your machine for hours.
Key features:
• Per-extension event log with timestamps
• Alert threshold: all issues, warnings and above, or critical only
• Quiet hours — no interruptions while you sleep
• Zombie detection via background ping
• Version change alerts (optional)
• Monitor all extensions or specific ones only
• Settings sync across all your Chrome profiles
• Event history capped at 1,000 entries — never bloats storage
Pro tier ($29 one-time):
• Conflict detection — identify extensions fighting over network requests, cookies, or history
• Custom check interval (as fast as every 30 seconds)
• Full event history timeline
• CSV/JSON export
