About Excel & CSV Compare – Find Data Changes

Compare two spreadsheet files and instantly see what was added, removed, or changed. Whether you are reconciling periodic inventory exports, comparing monthly employee rosters, auditing customer data, or verifying price sheets, Excel & CSV Compare eliminates the hassle of writing complex Excel formulas or manual VLOOKUP checks. Key Capabilities: • Compare Excel & CSV Files: Full support for .xlsx, .xls, and .csv files. • Match Rows by Key: Align rows accurately using SKU, ID, Email, or any unique column. Row reordering will not cause false change alerts. • Composite Key Support: Combine up to 3 columns (e.g. Store + SKU) when no single column is unique. • Detailed Cell Differences: See exact old and new values (Old Value → New Value) side by side. • Identify Added & Removed Rows: Easily review newly added rows and missing records. • Schema Change Detection: Added or removed columns are reported separately, preventing misleading diffs. • Flexible Comparison Options: Ignore capitalization, trim whitespace, and numeric tolerance. • Column Exclusion: Exclude timestamp columns like Last Modified or Export Date. • 100% Local & Private: Spreadsheet data is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your computer.
