esuTABs

esuTABs replaces Chrome's empty new tab with a calm, fast, distraction‑free page focused on open source knowledge. Every new tab shows you: • A curated "Did you know?" fact about Linux, open source, SUSE, Kubernetes, containers, and the wider ecosystem. • An "On this day" entry highlighting a moment from open source history. • Live headlines from major Open Source news feeds and from SUSE. • A built‑in search bar and quick category filters to dig deeper into the facts library. • A subtle clock and countdown so the page still works as a real new tab. Designed for engineers, sysadmins, students, and anyone who likes to learn something small every day: • Light and dark mode (follows your system by default). • Subtle green gradient background, focused typography, no ads, no tracking. • Local data — facts and history ship inside the extension and load instantly. • 100% open source. No accounts, no telemetry, no external scripts beyond the public RSS feeds.
