The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Endpoint DLP Plus
Endpoint DLP Plus keeps your organization's sensitive files from leaving
through the browser. It stops restricted file types from being uploaded to
websites your organization hasn't approved, while letting you work normally
on the sites it trusts.
WHY INSTALL IT
Most data leaks don't involve hackers. They happen when someone uploads the
wrong file to the wrong website: a spreadsheet dropped into a personal
cloud drive, a PDF attached in an unapproved web tool. Endpoint DLP Plus
catches these mistakes as they happen, so files that should stay inside
the organization do, and you don't have to memorize which sites are
allowed.
WHAT IT DOES
- Checks every file upload, including the file picker and drag-and-drop,
against the policy your IT/security team sets.
- Trusted destinations: uploads to your organization's approved sites
(for example, its own email, storage and business apps) are never
restricted.
- Blocked file types: file types your organization marks as restricted
(for example PDF, Office documents or archives) are blocked on any
website that isn't trusted.
- Clear notifications: when an upload is blocked, you see an on-screen
alert naming the file, so you know what was stopped and why.
- Always current: the policy updates automatically in the background, and
every policy is digitally signed by your organization's server, so it
can't be tampered with locally.
- Audit trail: upload attempts are recorded for your administrator, so
incidents can be reviewed without guesswork.
- Status at a glance: the toolbar popup shows whether protection is active,
when the policy was last updated, and which sites and file types it
covers.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This extension is for organizations that manage their devices with the
Endpoint DLP platform. It is deployed by your IT department and linked to
your organization's management server; it has no effect until your
device is enrolled. It is not meant for personal installation.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
- It does not read, store, or transmit the contents of files you upload —
only the file name, file extension, and destination are logged.
- It does not block or monitor browsing that isn't a file upload/attachment
action.
- It cannot be used to spy on personal browsing outside of upload/attachment
events its policy applies to.
