About Email Templates & Quick Steps for New Outlook
Microsoft removed Quick Steps, email templates, and custom keyboard shortcuts when they switched to New Outlook. Outlook Power Tools brings them back — and adds an ad blocker, PDF export, and unread count badge.
Works on outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, and outlook.office365.com.
WHAT YOU GET:
Ad Blocker Removes ads from your inbox automatically. Sidebar ads, fake email ads, upgrade banners, and “Ad Choices” labels — all hidden. Your reading area gets wider and cleaner. Free for everyone.
Email Templates Save any email as a reusable template or pick from 15 built-in canned responses. Insert into a new message with two clicks. Add subject lines, body text, and recipients. Great for support replies, follow-ups, scheduling, and out-of-office messages.
Save Email as PDF Export any open email to PDF directly from the toolbar. Free users get a print dialog; Pro users get one-click auto-download.
Quick Steps Combine multiple email actions into a single click. Mark as read + move to folder. Flag + forward to a teammate. Set up your own action combos and run them from the toolbar.
Keyboard Shortcuts Record custom key combinations and bind them to any action: insert a template, trigger a quick step, archive, flag, or move emails. If New Outlook removed a shortcut you relied on, you can recreate it.
Unread Count Badge See your unread email count on the browser tab favicon and on the extension icon. No need to keep the Outlook tab visible — the badge updates automatically.
Attachment Reminder Mentions “attached” or “file” in your email but forgot to attach anything? The extension warns you before you hit Send.
HOW IT WORKS:
Install the extension
Open New Outlook in your browser (outlook.live.com or outlook.office.com)
Click the extension icon to manage your templates, quick steps, and shortcuts
Use them directly in your inbox — no page reload needed
FREE vs PRO:
Free: ad blocker, unread badge, attachment reminder, 15 built-in templates, 3 custom templates, 3 quick steps, 3 keyboard shortcuts, PDF export via print dialog. Pro: Unlimited custom templates, quick steps, and shortcuts. One-click PDF download. $3.99/month or $29.99/year.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Anyone who switched to New Outlook and lost their Quick Steps or templates
Users tired of ads in their Outlook inbox
Customer support teams who send the same replies dozens of times a day
Professionals who need to save emails as PDF for records or legal purposes
Power users who rely on keyboard shortcuts for fast email management
PRIVACY:
Your templates and shortcuts are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage). No data leaves your device unless you activate a Pro license. We do not read, store, or transmit your email content.
