Elevate : Rise Above Distractions

Elevate - Block Distractions and Work Productively A floating timer that reinforces action and works across every website you visit. Complete focus solution for online work while also blocking distractions. What it does: Elevate combines a persistent floating timer with intelligent website blocking to keep you focused during work sessions. The timer appears on every webpage while the blocker prevents access to distracting sites. This open-source extension is designed to help anyone maintain focus, with features especially beneficial for people with ADHD who need consistent visual reminders and distraction management. Core Features: Timer System: • Floating Timer: Appears on all websites automatically. Drag it anywhere on each page. • Position Memory: Remembers exact timer placement for each website domain. • Task Labels: Set what you're working on for each session. Website Blocking: • Automatic Blocking: Blocks distracting websites during active work sessions. • Pre-configured Lists: Includes YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat. • Custom Sites: Add any website to your personal block list. • Smart Redirects: Blocked sites redirect to your focused workspace instead of showing errors. • Visual Management: See blocked sites with icons, easily add or remove sites. • Toggle Control: Turn blocking on/off instantly from the popup. Audio & Alerts: • Audio Reminders: Optional sound alerts every 1-10 minutes to maintain focus. • Custom Sounds: Upload your own reminder audio files. • Volume Control: Adjust reminder volume to fit your environment. • Session Notifications: Alerts when Pomodoro sessions complete. Workspace Integration: • New Tab Replacement: Replaces Chrome's new tab with a distraction-free workspace. • Centered Timer: Large, focused timer display when opening new tabs. • Minimization: Collapse timer to a small dot when not needed. How it works: Install and the timer appears on your next webpage. Start a work session and the blocker activates automatically. Try to visit Facebook or YouTube during work time? You'll be redirected to your clean workspace instead. Timer position saves per website - place it once on GitHub, it stays there. Switch between tabs and everything syncs perfectly. Perfect for: Students researching online, developers working across multiple web tools, writers battling social media distractions, professionals using web-based software, people with ADHD who benefit from visual focus cues and consistent reminders, or anyone who loses focus to websites during work time. Privacy: No data collection. Everything stays local in Chrome. No accounts, servers, or tracking. This is an open-source project, meaning the code is freely available and transparent. Works immediately after installation. No setup required. Development Status: Elevate is currently under development as an open-source project. This is the first version and may contain some bugs.
