About Dustwide Web
The internet, left out too long.
Dustwide Web turns every webpage into something that slowly gathers dust. The longer you leave a page alone, the more neglected it looks. Your cursor is the cleaning cloth.
WHAT HAPPENS TO A PAGE YOU IGNORE
- Dust settles over the page within a few minutes
- After 5 minutes, cobwebs start creeping into the corners, one by one
- After 15 minutes, a spider drops down on a thread and makes itself at home
- Come back after 10 minutes and moths fly out to greet you
- After 20 minutes, the page fades to an old-photograph sepia
- After a week, a little "For Sale" sign goes up
HOW TO CLEAN UP
- Move your mouse over the page to wipe the dust away in streaks
- Brush over cobwebs to tear them down
- Get close to the spider and it scurries back up its thread
- Wipe enough dust and the colors come back
THE ATTIC LEDGER
The popup keeps lifetime stats of your housekeeping: grams of internet dust wiped, cobwebs cleared, spiders evicted, moths released, and your longest-neglected page.
SETTINGS
- Chill, Normal, or Turbo speed (Turbo grows cobwebs in 15 seconds, perfect for showing friends)
- "Age this page" button to instantly neglect any tab
- Turn dust off for specific sites, or switch it off everywhere
PRIVACY
Dustwide Web collects no data. It doesn't track the sites you visit, and nothing leaves your browser. Your settings and stats are stored locally in Chrome.
Does anyone need this? No. Will your forgotten tabs finally look their age? Yes.
