About Dungeon Term Companion
Every CLA deadline and module release for your IIMB BBA (DBE) term, in your browser toolbar, with reminders that are hard to miss.
Open it and you see what's due today and over the next week, shown in your own time zone. On a deadline's day, the CLA waiting on you is at the very top, one press from the CLA itself, as a little timer that fills with colour as the deadline comes: white on the day, yellow inside four hours, red inside two. With several due, they're listed one under another, and the toolbar icon counts down the last four hours. To begin, pick your batch and term. There's nothing to sign up for.
On a deadline's day, two hours before it and half an hour before it, you get a notification on your computer, and the reminder also opens as a tab in your browser so it's there when you look: the time left in big figures, a button straight to the CLA, one to mark it submitted, and a snooze. Until you answer it, it comes back to the front when you return to your browser or your computer. If your browser was closed at the time, you're reminded when you open it, as long as the deadline hasn't passed. You can snooze a reminder, or switch the notification or the tab off in Settings.
If you let it, the companion reads the dates straight from your own IIMBx account, so your reminders match the courses you're actually taking. When IIMBx marks an assessment done, its reminder stops, and if a CLA's deadline passes without IIMBx having it, the companion tells you it was missed and keeps count for the term. It never opens an assessment, and it never sees your answers or password.
Press Pass or fail and it checks, on your own computer, whether each subject clears 40% of its CLA and 40% of its exam, from the marks Moodle has posted and the CLA scores on your IIMBx. The answer comes as one sentence, with each mark drawn as a bar against the 40% line. It's there for convenience: Dungeon doesn't collect these marks, and the check forgets them when you close it, unless you choose to keep a copy on your Dungeon account for your Grade Report.
Each deadline links straight to its assessment on IIMBx, and to the Dungeon lesson worth reading before you attempt it.
If you use Dungeon, sign in and your dates come with you. The deadlines the companion read from your IIMBx, what IIMBx has marked done and what you've ticked off appear on your Dungeon Term plan, on your phone, and in any calendar app you subscribe to it.
