Draftab

Every new tab is a blank page, ready for your next idea. Draftab turns it into a fast, beautiful notepad: open a tab and start typing — the cursor is already there, and everything saves itself. ✍️ WRITE IN MARKDOWN, SEE IT FORMATTED Type # for a heading, - for a list, [ ] for a checklist, > for a quote, ``` for code and --- for a divider. **Bold**, *italic*, ~~strikethrough~~, ++underline++, `code` and [links](https://example.com) turn into formatting the moment you type them. Changed your mind? Backspace turns a heading, quote or code block back into plain text. ↕️ DRAG ANY BLOCK WHERE IT BELONGS Grab the handle next to any paragraph, heading or list item and drag it. The other blocks slide out of the way so you see exactly where it will land. Move single items or whole lists, nest items, pull them out of a list — and double-click a handle to copy that block in one go. 🧮 QUICK MATH, RIGHT IN YOUR NOTES Type 2*5= and Draftab writes 10 for you. Add, subtract, multiply and divide, with parentheses and decimals — perfect for splitting a bill, adding up a budget or checking a number without opening a calculator. Choose a dot or a comma for decimals. 📅 A CALENDAR AT HAND A small month calendar sits in the sidebar. Click a day and the date goes straight into your note, in the format you like: 10/13/2026, 2026-10-13, 13 Oct 2026 or Tuesday, October 13, 2026. 🏷️ TAGS THAT FIND THINGS FOR YOU Write #tags anywhere. Cmd/Ctrl+click a tag to see every note that has it, or type # in the search and pick from the tags you use most. 🎨 SEE YOUR COLORS Writing about design? Color codes like #3a7bd5 or rgb(255, 0, 0) show a little swatch of the actual color right next to them. 🗂️ ALL YOUR NOTES, ONE CLICK AWAY The sidebar lists every note — by last edit, title or creation date — with instant search across titles and content. Pin your favorites to the top. The sidebar steps aside while you type and comes back when you move the mouse. Each note is titled by its first line, and the browser tab shows it too. 📤 COPY, EXPORT, IMPORT Export any note as a Markdown file. Copy a note with one click — formatted for email and docs, or ready to paste into WhatsApp with bold, italic and lists intact. Turn any .md or .txt file into a new note. A live counter shows characters with and without markdown, and how many are selected. 💾 BACKUPS YOU CAN TRUST Export a complete backup of your notes and settings whenever you want — each note also comes as plain markdown, readable anywhere. Or turn on automatic backups every minute, hour, day, week or month, saved quietly to Downloads/draftab-backups/, only when something changed. 🖋️ MAKE IT YOURS Light, dark, or automatic theme that follows your system. Give each note its own font — sans-serif, serif or monospace — and its own text size, with clean, comfortable typography. Work in several tabs at once: what you write in one shows up in the others. The interface speaks English and Portuguese. 🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your notes live only in your browser, on your computer. No account, no server, no analytics, no tracking.
