About Distraction-Hiding Focus Mode
Distraction-Hiding Focus Mode helps you stay focused without blocking whole websites. It hides distracting parts of pages while keeping the content you actually opened.
WHY IT HELPS
• Hides distracting page elements instead of blocking entire sites.
• Includes ready-made presets and a picker for custom elements.
• Combines a weekly schedule and a Pomodoro timer in one extension.
• Free, with no account and no data sent to the developer.
FEATURES
READY-MADE PRESETS
Use a preset to hide common distractions such as recommendation feeds, short-video sections, trending panels, and comment blocks. You can toggle individual items and adjust each site to your workflow. Presets cover several popular video and social platforms; the full list is shown in the extension settings.
HIDE ANY ELEMENT
Use the picker to click and hide any block on a page. Hide several elements in a row, then press Esc when done. You can name custom hides, organize them into groups, and undo mistakes. This works on most websites, not only the built-in presets.
POMODORO TIMER
Run focus and break cycles without leaving the browser:
• Focus, short break, and long break modes.
• Phase notifications and an on-page timer widget.
• Optional hard lock for selected domains during focus.
• Domain groups with one mode each: Timer (widget) or Block.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Choose weekdays and a time window for hides to be active.
• Inside the window: hides apply.
• Outside the window: focus stays on, but hides are paused and the full page is shown.
• The popup shows an “Outside schedule” status with a link to settings.
STATS & CONTROL
• See how much you have hidden today and overall.
• Turn focus on or off from the popup.
• Export and import settings.
• English and Russian UI (follows Chrome language).
PRIVACY
• Settings and stats are stored in browser storage on your device.
• Nothing is sent to the developer’s servers.
• No analytics SDK and no ads in the extension.
