About Dispatch - Capture, Edit & Replay APIs

Dispatch is a professional API testing and network inspection tool held entirely in the Chrome side panel - no separate app to install, no account required, no data ever leaving your device. FEATURES Request Builder - Send HTTP requests (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS) - Query parameters, headers, and request body editors (JSON, raw, form-data, URL-encoded) - Bearer token, Basic auth, API key, custom header, and AWS Signature v4 authentication - Save requests into named, colour-coded collections with folders - Paste a cURL command straight into the URL bar to auto-fill a request - Full request history with search and pinning Environments & Variables - {{variable}} templating in any URL, header, param, body, or auth field - Switch environments from the toolbar - scopes for globals, collections, folders, and environments - Secret variables are masked in the UI and excluded from exports - Built-in dynamic variables like {{$guid}}, {{$timestamp}}, and {{$randomInt}} Scripting & Tests - Pre-request and post-response scripts with a Postman-compatible pm.* API - pm.test() assertions, pm.expect(), and pm.response.to.have.status() style checks - Read and write environment, collection, and global variables from a script - Fire additional requests mid-script with pm.sendRequest() - No-code response assertions and variable-extraction rules for simple request chaining Collection Runner - Run every request in a collection or folder in sequence, for any number of iterations - Drive each iteration from an uploaded CSV or JSON data file - Stop on first error, or run the whole batch and review every result Performance & Load Testing - Send sustained concurrent load at a collection or folder - Configure virtual users, duration or request count, and ramp-up - Live latency and throughput charts with a pass/fail summary against your own thresholds Network Capture - Record every HTTP/HTTPS request made by the current tab - including fetch, XHR, images, scripts, stylesheets, and service worker requests - Record across multiple tabs simultaneously in a single session - See status codes, response times, and response sizes at a glance - Inspect full request and response headers and bodies - Import any captured request into the builder for editing and replay - Save captured requests to collections in one click, with automatic variable detection - Filter by method, status code range, or URL - Export captures as a HAR file Collections - Organise requests into named collections with custom colours and sub-folders - Share auth, headers, variables, and scripts across every request in a collection or folder - Star requests for quick access - Import and export collections and environments as Dispatch JSON or Postman v2.1 Interface - Light, dark, or system theme - Built-in Help & Explore reference panel covering every feature, with scripting tips - Open Dispatch in a full browser tab when you want more room PRIVACY All data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. Nothing is sent to any server. There is no backend, no analytics, no telemetry. Network capture is strictly opt-in - you start and stop it manually. Sending otherwise browser-blocked headers (like Referer) requires explicitly granting Dispatch access to that specific site first - nothing is ever touched without that per-site permission.
