The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Digital Grandson
Wondering if a website, an email or a photo is real? Click once and get a plain-English answer.
Digital Grandson adds a small tab to the edge of every page. When something looks off (a headline that seems too wild, an email asking you to pay, a photo that looks too perfect), click the tab. It tells you whether the page looks trustworthy, calls for caution, looks suspicious or is probably fake, and explains why.
━━━ NEW IN THIS VERSION ━━━
→ WARNS YOU ABOUT FAKE "PLEASE SIGN" AND "PLEASE PAY" EMAILS
Scammers break into real business email accounts and send invoices or documents to sign. Because the email really comes from that account, it can sail past spam filters. In Gmail, Digital Grandson now checks where the "Review", "Sign" or "Pay" button actually goes. If it leads to a website that has nothing to do with the sender or with a known e-signature or payment service, you get a clear warning.
→ RIGHT-CLICK TO CHECK PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
The small button on top of pictures is gone (it got in the way on some websites). To check a picture or video, right-click it and choose "Digital Grandson: Check if AI-generated."
━━━ WHAT IT DOES ━━━
→ CHECKS WEB PAGES AND NEWS ARTICLES
Click the tab, then "Analyze This Page." In a few seconds you get a color-coded answer, with the reasons spelled out.
→ CHECKS EMAILS
Open an email and click Analyze. Digital Grandson looks for the classic scam signs: urgent demands for money, look-alike sender addresses (a company name spelled with a letter from another alphabet, for example) and buttons that lead somewhere unexpected.
→ SPOTS AI-MADE PHOTOS AND DEEPFAKES
Right-click any image or video. Digital Grandson runs it past several AI-detection services and tells you how likely it is to be AI-made.
→ WARNS YOU ABOUT SCAM SHOPPING PAGES
On a checkout page, it looks for the warning signs of a fake store before you type in your card.
→ CHECKS ANY SENTENCE
Highlight some text, right-click, and choose "Digital Grandson: Check selected text."
→ SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE
Answers in 19 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Indonesian, Hebrew, Yiddish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi and Nigerian Pidgin. There's also a Pirate mode, if you're feeling adventurous.
━━━ HOW TO USE IT ━━━
1. Install it. No account, no email, no credit card.
2. Browse as usual.
3. When something looks fishy, click the tab on the right edge of the page.
4. Click "Analyze This Page."
━━━ WHAT IT COSTS ━━━
• FREE: try it with 5 free checks. No sign-up, no card. Pages, emails and photos all count toward the 5.
• $5 once: 30 days of checks, up to 200 a day.
• $5 a month: keep going after that. Cancel any time from Settings.
• FREE for good with your own AI account: connect your own key from a supported AI company in Settings. Page and email checks then go straight to that company, and you pay it directly, usually a few cents per check.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card.
━━━ YOUR PRIVACY, IN PLAIN WORDS ━━━
• Nothing about the pages you read leaves your computer until you click Analyze. The one exception is auto-analyze, which stays off unless you turn it on.
• When you click Analyze, the page's text goes to an AI to read. For an email, the button links go too. With visual analysis on (the default), a picture of the visible page is included; the free version sends text only.
• We keep a short record (the page address, the answer you got and the first few sentences) so we can measure how accurate we are. After 90 days, the text and anything that could point back to you are deleted.
• With your own AI account, the page goes straight from your browser to that company. Only the site's name and the first few sentences pass through us, to look for related news.
• We keep anonymous usage counts (installs, and which sites get checked) to improve the product. You can turn that off in Settings.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

━━━ GOOD TO KNOW ━━━
Digital Grandson gives you a second opinion, not the final word. AI can be wrong, sometimes confidently wrong. If an answer seems off, tap the thumbs-down in the answer. We read every one and use them to get better.
━━━ WHY WE MADE IT ━━━
The internet keeps getting harder to trust. Fake stores, fake invoices and AI-made photos now look exactly like the real thing, and working out what's true shouldn't take an expert. Digital Grandson gives anyone a quick way to ask "is this real?" before they share, pay or believe.
