Detox: Distraction Blocker & Time Limits

Detox takes the endless parts out of the websites you lose time to, and holds you to the daily limits you choose. Feeds and video sites are built so there is always one more thing to watch. Detox removes those surfaces and leaves the parts you came for: search, your subscriptions, and anything you open on purpose keep working. WHAT DETOX REMOVES • Short-video feeds, such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, including the shelves and tabs that lead to them • Recommendation walls: home feeds, "up next" sidebars and end screens • Infinite scroll, stories trays, "suggested for you" and notification badges Every surface has its own switch, so you decide exactly what disappears. DAILY LIMITS THAT HOLD • Give each site a daily allowance: five videos, forty posts or thirty minutes • When it is spent, the site goes to a calm Detox page until tomorrow • Need one more? It is there, after a one-minute wait that gives you ten minutes ANY WEBSITE • Add any other site you lose time to, and give it a daily limit or block it outright • Chrome asks you to allow access to each site as you add it, one at a time. Detox never asks for access to all websites PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-up • No analytics, no ads, no tracking • Your settings and daily counters stay in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us or anyone else Privacy policy: https://detox.so/browser-extension/privacy WORKS ON YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit and LinkedIn, plus other social and streaming sites listed in the extension's settings. Made by the team behind the Detox iPhone app. Detox is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the websites it works on.
