About Deluge Forge
Deluge Forge is the browser half of the Deluge Forge VS Code extension. It has no user
interface of its own beyond a small popup that shows pairing status, install it, pair it
once with a code from "Deluge Forge: Setup" in VS Code, and it works quietly in the
background from then on.
What it does:
- Reads your existing, already-authenticated Zoho session cookie while you are signed in to
Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, or Zoho Creator in this browser.
- Relays that session, over your machine's local Native Messaging channel only, to the paired
Deluge Forge VS Code extension and its local native host process.
- Refreshes that relay roughly once a minute so the IDE extension's session does not go stale
while you work.
What it does not do:
- It does not send your session, your cookies, or anything else to any server operated by us
or by any third party. The only recipient is the native messaging host running on your own
machine, which VS Code Setup installs and which only your own VS Code extension can reach.
- It does not modify, inject into, or read the content of any Zoho page beyond detecting that
a Zoho tab is open and which Zoho product it belongs to.
- It does not track you, does not collect analytics, and loads no remote fonts, scripts, or
trackers of any kind.
Who it is for: developers who write Zoho Deluge scripts for CRM, Books, or Creator and want to
do that work in VS Code, with autocomplete, linting, and version control instead of Zoho's
in-browser script editor. This extension is the bridge that makes the VS Code extension able to
see your Zoho session at all; it is not useful installed on its own.
