About DeFi Yield Tracker

Track DeFi token prices, yield farm APY, and LP token valuations in your side panel. What it does. DeFi Yield Tracker tracks live cryptocurrency prices in a Chrome side panel using CoinGecko public price API, Alternative.me Fear & Greed / market index API. It supports a watchlist and price alerts; selecting a coin name on a page and using the context menu looks it up instantly. Key features (found in code): - Side-panel UI (`sidepanel.html`) opened via `chrome.sidePanel` (background.js:15, background.js:45) - Right-click context-menu action "Check price of "%s"" via `chrome.contextMenus` (background.js:9, background.js:36) - Data source: CoinGecko public price API (`api.coingecko.com`, background.js:3) - Data source: Alternative.me Fear & Greed / market index API (`api.alternative.me`, background.js:4) - Embedded TradingView chart widget (`s.tradingview.com`) - Periodic background refresh via `chrome.alarms` (background.js:22, background.js:30) - Personal watchlist, stored locally in `chrome.storage.local` (background.js:17) Who it's for. Crypto holders and traders who want a lightweight always-available price tracker with alerts. No background data collection, no ads, no tracking, no account required.
