About DeepFocus: AI Focus & Website Blocker

Tell DeepFocus what you're working on, and Sonar makes sure that's what you do. Most site blockers make you build a list, then block whole websites. DeepFocus works differently. Sonar, an AI that runs entirely on your own computer, reads each page you open during a focus session and asks one question: does this help with your goal? A calculus lecture on YouTube gets through. The highlights reel next to it doesn't. HOW IT WORKS 1. Start a session and type your goal, like "Finish my calculus homework." 2. Browse normally. Sonar checks every page as it loads. 3. Off-task pages are turned away with a one-line reason. Disagree? Argue your case, and Sonar may let you through for a few minutes. WHAT YOU GET • AI blocking that understands context, not just domain names • A focus timer that floats on every page • Appeals: explain why a page helps, and Sonar decides • Strict mode: quitting early takes a held dial, a few sums and a typed promise • Always-allowed and never-allowed lists for sites you've already decided about • A session summary: what Sonar let through and what it turned away • Premium: blocking between sessions, "Things I shouldn't be doing" (a sentence Sonar holds you to all day), schedules, and a settings lock that makes impulsive changes slow FREE AND PREMIUM • Free: 2 hours of focus every day. • Premium: unlimited focus plus everything above. • Launch offer: new accounts get 30 days of Premium free from September 25 through October 25, 2026 (UTC). After that, new accounts get 7 days. No card needed. • Invite a friend: they get 14 extra days after their trial, and you get 30 extra days when they complete a qualifying session. • Premium will be a one-time $4.99 upgrade, no subscription. Purchasing opens soon. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Sonar runs on Chrome's built-in AI, so pages are judged on your device and their content never leaves your browser • No ads, no analytics, no browsing history uploaded • Sign in with Google so your trial and settings follow you; your email address is stored only as a one-way hash • Settings sync carries only your own preferences: your lists, toggles and the sentences you write REQUIREMENTS Desktop Chrome 138 or newer on a computer that can run Chrome's built-in AI. On first run, DeepFocus walks you through a one-time download of Sonar.
