DeBait – Real YouTube Thumbnails, Not Clickbait

DeBait swaps clickbait YouTube thumbnails for the real first frame of each video, so your feed shows what videos are actually about — not the misleading bait. It works automatically the moment you install it. No popup, no account, no settings. • Replaces thumbnails on the home feed, search, sidebar and channel pages • Works on both regular videos and Shorts • Restores the original automatically when no real frame is available • Lightweight (~3 kB) and private: no tracking, no accounts, no extra requests DeBait only needs access to YouTube and changes thumbnails at the network layer, so the clickbait image is never even downloaded.
