About Data Sanitizer — Redact logs before AI

Use AI on your real logs — without leaking a thing. Data Sanitizer swaps every secret, IP address, hostname and username in your logs for a consistent, reversible token, right in your browser. Paste logs, stack traces or configs into ChatGPT, Claude or any AI, then map the reply straight back to the real values with one click. Nothing is ever uploaded — there's no server, no account and no signup. It's built for anyone who works with sensitive logs and wants to use AI without exposing customer data or internal infrastructure — a security analyst triaging an incident, or an engineer debugging a production issue. The detection engine goes well beyond generic PII. It recognizes real credentials such as API keys and connection strings, and it understands the shape of infrastructure data — an internal IP looks different from a hostname, and a Windows domain login looks different from an email address — so it catches what simpler find-and-replace tools miss. Here's how it works. Paste in your text and click Sanitize; every sensitive value becomes a short, consistent token in place. Copy that safe version into your AI conversation. When the reply comes back with those same tokens in it, paste it into the Restore tab and get the real values back — the mapping never leaves your device. The extension adds a side panel that stays docked next to your AI chat tab, and a right-click option to sanitize any text you've selected on a page without switching tabs at all. The free version covers everyday occasional use. Upgrading removes the daily limit and adds a few extras for people who rely on it every day, like saved case history and custom detection rules.
