The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About DarkSweep
Sweep bright, glaring websites into a comfortable dark theme on
every site you visit.
DarkSweep gives you a one-click dark mode with the controls that
actually matter: brightness, contrast, sepia and saturation. Care
for your eyes at night, and during the day.
WHY DARKSWEEP?
• Two smart engines pick "Filter" for instant site wide
darkening that works everywhere, or "Dynamic" for a rewritten
theme that analyzes each page's colors: backgrounds go dark,
text goes light, and colors keep their hue.
• Photos and videos stay natural media elements are kept out of
the darkening automatically, so images keep their true colors.
• Per-site control love a site's own design? Turn DarkSweep off
for just that site with one tap, while every other site stays
dark. A global switch covers everything at once.
• Fine-tuning four precision sliders: brightness (50–150 %),
contrast (50–150 %), sepia (0–100 %), saturation (0–200 %),
plus one-click reset.
• Instant sync toggle anything in the popup and every tab
updates immediately. No reloads needed.
• At-a-glance status the toolbar badge shows "ON" wherever dark
mode is active, and a welcome page with a live self-test opens
on install so you know everything works.
PRIVACY FIRST
DarkSweep runs 100 % locally in your browser:
• No data collection, no analytics, no tracking
• No remote code everything is bundled in the extension
• Your settings never leave your device
WHY THESE PERMISSIONS?
• Host permissions ("read and change your data on all websites"):
required for one single purpose — injecting the dark theme into
the pages you visit. Nothing is read, stored or sent elsewhere.
• Storage: saves your settings locally on your device.
