The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Curl to Code: Python, JS & Node Converter
Convert curl to code: Python, JavaScript & Node, entirely on your device
Paste a curl command and instantly get working, correctly escaped request
code: curl to Python (`requests`), curl to JavaScript (`fetch`), or curl to
Node.js (`axios`), generated live as you paste, right in the popup. The
curl command you paste is never uploaded anywhere.
A curl command is not a neutral piece of text. The one you just copied out of
your API docs, out of a colleague's Slack message, or out of Chrome DevTools'
"Copy as cURL" almost certainly carries a live credential: an
`Authorization: Bearer …` token, a session cookie, an API key, a basic-auth
password. Pasting that into a random online curl-to-code converter transmits
your secrets to somebody else's server.
Curl to Code does the same job without the round trip. Paste any
curl command into the popup and get real, correctly escaped request code in
your language, generated entirely on your own device: no accounts, no
upload, no server-side conversion step.
Paste a command in, and the popup instantly shows:
- Working request code in your chosen language, generated on-device as you
paste. No "Convert" button to click, no waiting.
- Real Chrome DevTools "Copy as cURL" support, in BOTH flavors: the bash /
POSIX form (macOS, Linux) and the Windows "Copy as cURL (cmd)" form, with
the shell dialect auto-detected and a manual override if you want one.
- The request-shaping flags developers actually paste: `-X`, `-H`, `-d`,
`--data-raw`, `--data-binary`, `--data-urlencode`, `-F`, `-u`, `-b`, `-A`,
`-e`, `-L`, `-k`, `--compressed`, `-I`, `-G`, and short-flag clusters
like `-sSL`.
- One-click copy of the generated code.
- A clear, inline error when a command can't be converted faithfully.
Never a silently wrong conversion.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
This is a paste-mode tool: it never reads the active tab or any page content,
requests no host permissions, and injects no scripts. The commands you paste
(tokens, cookies, API keys and all) never leave your browser; parsing and
code generation run locally inside the popup, not on a server. This extension
collects no data of any kind: no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry. No
account is ever required to convert a curl command. The only network
traffic it ever makes is a purchase-verification check with ExtensionPay if
you choose to upgrade.
HONEST ABOUT SCOPE
This tool converts commands; it never RUNS them, and it never connects to the
host in your URL. Because everything happens on your own device in the popup,
curl's file-reading forms cannot be honored. `-d @body.json`, `--data-urlencode
name@file`, `-F field=@photo.png` and cookie-file `-b cookies.txt` are
reported as unsupported rather than quietly converted into code that would
post the literal filename. Flags that shape connection behavior rather than
the request itself (proxies, timeouts, retries, output files) are accepted
and ignored, and anything genuinely unsupported produces an explicit error
instead of a guess. Where a target language cannot express a curl flag (for
example, browser `fetch` cannot disable TLS verification the way `-k` does),
the generated code says so in a comment rather than pretending the request is
equivalent.
FREE, AND GENUINELY USEFUL
- Python (`requests`)
- JavaScript (`fetch`)
- Node.js (`axios`)
- bash and cmd "Copy as cURL" parsing, auto-detected.
- One-click copy.
- Clear, non-crashing handling of a command that can't be converted.
PREMIUM ($5 one-time)
Built for polyglot and backend developers:
- Seven more languages, each using that language's standard library or its
de-facto-standard client, with nothing exotic to go install:
Go (`net/http`), PHP (ext-curl), Ruby (`net/http`),
Java (`java.net.http.HttpClient`), C# (`System.Net.Http.HttpClient`),
PowerShell (`Invoke-RestMethod`), and Rust (`reqwest`).
- Saved conversions: name a curl command, keep it on your device, reload it
later.
- Batch: paste several curl commands at once and convert them all in one
pass; one bad command never costs you the rest.
No subscription, no account required. Pay once, keep the features.
