Curfew: YouTube™ Time Limit, Study Mode & Shorts Blocker

Set a time limit before YouTube™ opens, study without distractions, and leave when you planned to. Curfew is a free study mode and Shorts blocker for desktop Chrome: pick Learn or Relax, choose your minutes, and it stops the video when time is up. START WITH A PLAN Pick Learn or Relax and your minutes: 15, 30, 60 or any number you like. Add an optional note, then enter. One session runs across all your tabs, with a small timer showing the minutes left. WHEN TIME IS UP The video pauses and a card covers it. What comes next depends on how strict you set Curfew: - Gentle: finish the video you're on (if 10 minutes or less are left), or add 5 or 10 minutes, as often as you like. - Balanced: once per session, finish the current video if 10 minutes or less are left; otherwise, get 5 more minutes for it. - Strict: no extra time, with a cooldown chosen before starting (5, 10, 20 or 30 min). From session start until the cooldown ends, you cannot start a new session, pause Curfew or loosen its settings. Leaving or ending early is always free. A CALMER PLACE TO STUDY Learn mode replaces the home feed with a clean study page: one search box, your playlists on the page, and the shortcuts you choose, such as Watch later. BLOCK SHORTS AND 11 MORE DISTRACTIONS Choose what to hide, separately for each mode and for when no session is running: - Shorts feeds, shelves and buttons; Shorts links open in the regular player - Home feed and sidebar recommendations - Comments and live chat - Autoplay, end screens and end-screen cards - Explore, Trending, Mixes, merchandise, the notification bell and "For you" search shelves SEE YOUR WEEK A weekly report shows your sessions, minutes planned versus used, and Learn versus Relax time. It stays on your computer. PREFER NO TIMER? Choose "Just hide distractions" during setup and use the blocking on its own. PRIVATE AND FREE No account, no ads, no analytics. Your settings stay in your browser, or in Chrome sync if you turn it on. Works in Chrome on desktops and laptops.
