About ctrlhq for Chrome

ctrlhq for Chrome is the browser half of ctrlhq, the app that lives in your MacBook's notch. It connects Chrome to the Mac app so the tools you already use under the notch work on the web too. IMPORTANT: this extension needs the ctrlhq app for Mac (macOS 26 Tahoe). Get it at https://ctrlhq.app/download. If the app isn't installed, the extension tells you and links to the download. WHAT IT DOES Passwords • Click the key in any password field to fill your saved login after Touch ID • ctrlhq offers to save a new login, or update a changed password, after you sign in, and only once the login actually worked • Suggests a strong password when you sign up • Logins live in ctrlhq's encrypted vault on your Mac (AES-256, key in your Keychain). Nothing is synced to a cloud Clip anything • Right-click an image, link or selection and send it to your Shelf, then drag it into any app • Save a selection to your Scratchpad with the page title and a link back to it • Your clipboard remembers which page each copy came from, so you can search it by site Screenshots • Capture the visible tab, or drag to capture a region (Alt+Shift+S) • It opens in ctrlhq's screenshot editor: crop, frame, redact or grab the text Focus mode • Block social media, video, news and shopping sites, or your own list, while a focus session runs or for 25, 45 or 90 minutes • Strict mode removes the way around the block • Blocking always expires on its own, so you're never locked out Time on the notch • Set a daily limit for any site. Once you pass it, the notch counts up: "21 min on YouTube" • Only the site's name is kept, never the page PRIVATE BY DESIGN The extension has no server and no account. It talks only to the ctrlhq app on your Mac, over a private connection on your computer. It never sends your passwords, browsing or clipboard to us or anyone else. Privacy details: https://ctrlhq.app/privacy Works in Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge and other Chromium browsers on macOS. Questions? hello@ctrlhq.app
