About CrowdRig Stream Listener

CrowdRig Stream Listener is the companion extension for CrowdRig, interactive tools for people who stream live: card breakers, sellers, musicians, anyone whose show is better when the crowd can take part. It does two jobs, and it only ever reads. 1. IT TELLS CROWDRIG WHO IS ACTUALLY THERE CrowdRig gives your viewers points for taking part in your stream: chatting, showing up, buying something. The hard part is knowing who took part. Most tools settle for "whoever had a web page open", which anybody can leave running in a background tab. This extension sits on your own live page and, once a minute, tells CrowdRig which usernames it saw take part and how much, and on Whatnot who has been watching, so the regulars who watch quietly earn too. Points are earned on the stream itself, so nobody can farm them by parking a tab, and the people who actually show up are the ones who get rewarded. 2. IT FINDS YOUR CROWD'S SONG REQUESTS When a viewer requests a song with a Spotify or Apple Music link, or just types a song name, your OBS overlay (a YouTube player) has nothing to load. This extension searches YouTube from your computer and sends back what it found, so the song queues by itself instead of waiting for you to look it up. It prefers the artist's own channel and passes over covers, karaoke, reactions and ten-hour loops. Your banned words and your longest-song limit are applied by CrowdRig to whatever it finds, before anything can queue. Those searches are sent signed out, with cookies deliberately left off, so your YouTube account, subscriptions and watch history are not involved. WHAT IT SENDS From your own live page, once a minute: the usernames seen in chat in the last fifteen minutes, how many messages each sent, the purchases and joins it could see, on Whatnot the usernames of the people watching your show (nothing else about them), whether the stream is live, how many are watching, and the seller or channel name on the page. As they happen: chat lines that begin with !, which is how chat commands work. Ordinary chat text is never sent anywhere. For song requests: the video ids, titles, channel names and running times a YouTube search returned. When you link it: the six-digit code from your console. That is the complete list. No viewer email addresses, no payment details, no account data. It all goes to CrowdRig's own API over HTTPS and nowhere else. WHAT IT NEVER DOES - It never posts, types or clicks on any page, and never sends a chat message. - It only reports your own stream. Before anything leaves your computer, it checks that the seller or channel on the page matches the username saved in your CrowdRig console. On anyone else's stream it sends nothing. - It does not track you across sites, and there is no advertising or analytics code in it. - It contains no remotely hosted code. Everything it runs ships inside the extension. SETTING IT UP You need a CrowdRig account at app.crowdrig.com (there is a free plan). In your console, open Setup and click Show a code on the Connect card. Then click this extension's icon and type the code in. The code always comes from your console, never the other way round. CrowdRig will never message you a code or ask you to enter one that came from somewhere else. WHERE IT WORKS Your own live page on Whatnot, Twitch, Kick or YouTube. CrowdRig is not affiliated with any of them. Privacy policy: https://crowdrig.com/privacy/#extension Support: hello@crowdrig.com
