The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About CrawlCheck – AI Crawler Checker
CrawlCheck is the verification layer for the agentic web. This extension shows what AI agents and search crawlers are told about the site you are on, and what they actually receive from it.
Agent view
Open the Agent view on any site to see one signed answer from CrawlCheck, checked inside your browser before it is shown:
• What an AI agent may do there: read, cite, connect, buy or administer, each marked allow, warn, ask a human or block, with the reason.
• What AI may do with the page: whether the site allows training, answering questions, summaries and citations, and the exact line in its own files that decided it.
• What each AI agent was served: every crawler identity side by side with a normal visitor, so a refused or thinner page stands out.
• Agent readiness: which machine-readable files the site has, with a one-tap draft of any that are missing.
• Who stands behind the site: whether the owner has verified it, and a button to join the free CrawlCheck registry if it is yours.
Lookalike shield
If a site imitates a well-known brand and is not held by that brand, the toolbar icon turns red and the extension tells you before you sign in or pay. Defensive registrations owned by the brand are recognised and not flagged.
Also included
• The CrawlCheck grade of the current site on the toolbar icon.
• A comparison of what our server and your own browser receive, after the page's JavaScript has run.
• A watch list that marks sites whose grade or findings changed since you last looked.
• The full, free report for any site on crawlcheck.io in one click.
Privacy
To show a grade, a verdict or a lookalike warning, the extension sends the hostname of the site you are viewing, never the page or anything about you. You can switch the automatic lookup off in the footer. The two-vantage check can share signed readings of status codes, sizes, word counts and hashes; it never sends page text, and it has its own off switch. Full details are at crawlcheck.io/extension/privacy.
