About COVIS AI

Covis AI — Upwork Job Analyzer helps freelancers and agencies evaluate Upwork job posts faster and start proposals in the Covis portal with one click. Open a job on Upwork, click Analyze, and get a clear, structured report: a job potential score, risk level, budget and timeline assessment, top highlights, potential risks, and a plain recommendation on whether the job is worth your Connects — all in a compact popup, without leaving the page. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES 1. Reads the job post you are viewing — only when you ask it to. The extension stays completely inactive while you browse. It does not run any code on Upwork pages in the background, it does not track your browsing, and it does not touch your Upwork account or login. Only when you open the popup on an Upwork job page and click "Analyze" does it read the visible contents of that single job post: the title, description, budget, required skills, experience level, project length, posting time, number of proposals, and the public client information shown on the page (location, total spent, hire rate, rating, payment verification status, and work history). 2. Analyzes the job with Covis AI. The extracted job details are sent securely over HTTPS to the Covis AI analysis service, which returns a structured report in a few seconds: - Job Potential Score (0–100) with a clear label - Risk level (Low / Medium / High) - Technical requirements clarity, communication quality, timeline, and budget assessments - Top highlights worth acting on - Potential risks to be aware of before you spend Connects - A recommendation (Apply Quickly / Apply / Consider / Skip) with the reasoning and an AI confidence level 3. Shows the full job detail in one place. A "Job Detail" view presents everything the extension read from the page — the complete description, job facts, skills, client facts, and the client's review history — cleanly formatted, with empty fields hidden. 4. Starts a proposal in the Covis portal. If you decide the job is worth pursuing, "Generate Proposal" creates a draft proposal bid in your Covis workspace from the analyzed job and takes you straight to it in a new tab, so you can continue writing and submit from the portal. WHO THIS IS FOR This extension is built for users of Covis (covis.ai), an AI-powered platform for freelancers and agencies that manage proposals and bids. A Covis account is required to use the proposal feature: you sign in from the popup with your company subdomain, email, and password. The job analysis report also requires an active session. If you do not have a Covis account, contact your team administrator or visit covis.ai. HOW TO USE IT 1. Install the extension and pin it to your toolbar. 2. On upwork.com, open any job post (for example from Find Work > Best Matches). 3. Click the extension icon and sign in with your Covis subdomain, email, and password. You can choose to stay signed in for 30 days. 4. Click "Analyze". The report appears in the popup within a few seconds. 5. Review the score, highlights, risks, and recommendation. Open "Job Detail" for the full scraped post. 6. Click "Generate Proposal" to create a draft bid in your Covis workspace and jump to it. 7. Use the refresh button to re-read and re-analyze after the page changes, or "Discard" to start over. PERMISSIONS — WHY EACH ONE IS NEEDED We request the minimum set of permissions required for the features above, and nothing more: - activeTab: lets the extension read the job post in your current tab only after you click Analyze in the popup. The extension has no standing access to upwork.com and cannot see other tabs. - scripting: used to inject the reader script into the current job page on demand — again, only in response to your click. No script is ever auto-injected while you browse. - storage: stores your Covis session token locally in the browser's extension storage so you do not have to sign in every time, plus your last-used subdomain and email to prefill the sign-in form. - Host access to ai-api.covis.ai and api.covis.ai: these are the only two servers the extension talks to — the Covis AI analysis service and the Covis portal API used for sign-in and proposal creation. The extension makes no requests to any other host. YOUR DATA — WHAT IS COLLECTED, SENT, AND STORED We believe you should know exactly what leaves your browser: - Sent to Covis servers: the contents of the specific job post you choose to analyze (job facts and the public client information visible on that page), and — when you generate a proposal — the same job data mapped into a draft bid. When you sign in, your email, password, and company subdomain are sent once over HTTPS to authenticate; the password is never stored anywhere by the extension. - Stored locally on your device: your Covis session token (with its expiry time, your name, email, and subdomain) and, optionally, your last-used subdomain and email for convenience. Signing out removes the session immediately. Expired sessions are cleared automatically. - Never collected: your Upwork credentials, your browsing history, the contents of any page other than the job post you explicitly analyze, keystrokes, or any analytics or advertising identifiers. The extension contains no trackers and shows no ads. - Not sold or shared: job data is used solely to produce your analysis report and your draft proposal inside your own Covis workspace. It is not sold to third parties, not used for advertising, and not used for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single function. All communication with Covis servers uses HTTPS. The extension does not modify Upwork pages, does not click anything on your behalf on Upwork, and does not automate applying, bidding, or messaging — it only reads the job post you are viewing and presents information to help you decide. WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not auto-apply to jobs or send proposals on Upwork. - It does not run in the background or monitor your browsing. - I…
