The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Coursology Discuss
Coursology Discuss is an AI writing partner for your class discussion board. It reads the prompt off the page you are already on, drafts a post in your own voice, and helps you reply to classmates without starting from a blank box every week.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open a discussion in one of your classes. A Discuss button appears right beside the Reply button you already use.
2. We read the prompt, the instructions, and what your classmates have already posted.
3. Tell it your angle, or just ask it to start. The draft types itself straight into the reply box on the page.
4. Read it, change anything you want, and post it when it sounds like you.
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU
Every draft goes through a humanizing pass, so what comes out reads like a student wrote it instead of a language model. You see the result on the finished text before you post, so nothing catches you off guard.
IT USES YOUR ACTUAL COURSE MATERIAL
A post that engages with the reading beats a post that waffles. Add the material for the class and we write from it.
- Upload files (any file type supported!)
- Paste a link to an article or an online reading
- Snip anything from any page while you browse and send it straight to your sources
- Everything you add is saved to a searchable library and reusable in your next discussion
Your syllabus, lecture slides, assigned chapters and case studies all become material we can actually reference.
IT CHECKS THE REQUIREMENTS
Discussion prompts bury their rules in the instructions: a minimum word count, cite two sources, take a clear position, respond to at least two classmates. We check the finished draft against the prompt's own requirements and shows you what is covered and what is still missing.
IT REPLIES TO CLASSMATES PROPERLY
Pick a classmate's post, choose how you want to respond (agree and extend, push back, add a different angle, ask a real question), and get a reply that engages with what they actually said instead of "Great point, I totally agree!"
WHAT YOU NEED
- An online discussion board for your class, open in Chrome. It works on your school's own web address.
- A Coursology account. Discuss is part of Coursology Pro.
PRIVACY
Coursology Discuss stays dormant until you open a discussion page for one of your classes. It reads the discussion prompt and the posts on that page so it can write about them. It never sees or asks for your school password, and the files you add belong to your account.
