The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About CookieGuard – Auto Reject Cookie Banners
Cookie banners exist because the law requires a real choice. CookieGuard makes that
choice once for you: it presses the genuine "Reject all" action - or calls the consent
platform's own API - so your rejection is the legally meaningful kind, not just a
banner hidden with CSS.
WHAT IT DOES
Detects consent banners from 27 major consent management platforms (CMPs).
Clicks the real "Reject all / reject non-essential" button, or the platform's own
consent API, so the opt-out actually registers.
Falls back to a text library of 224 reject phrases in 35 languages for banners
that are not recognised by platform name.
Sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal on every page. GPC is a
legally recognised "do not sell or share my data" signal under CCPA/CPRA and
several other US state laws.
Verifies the result after acting: the popup shows whether the banner is really gone.
Remembers sites you rejected (optional, on by default) and replays your own
choice automatically on your next visit. It never accepts cookies on your behalf
unless you set that site's default action to "accept" yourself.
NEVER ACCEPTS ON YOUR BEHALF
CookieGuard's default mode is reject. It will not click "Accept all", it does not
modify page content beyond removing the dismissed banner, and it does not block or
break the pages you visit.
PRIVACY, FOR REAL
100% local: no account, no analytics, no telemetry, nothing uploaded.
The per-site memory stores only the hostname and the action you took - never page
content - and is cleared by the "Clear data" button in the settings page.
One optional request per day fetches an updated list of consent-platform rules
(a JSON configuration file - no code is loaded or executed).
See an unsupported banner? One click in the popup reports it and we add the rule.
FREE VS PRO
Free: 40 successful rejections per week, all detection and GPC features, manual
trigger, per-site whitelist.
Pro (one-time lifetime or yearly): unlimited rejections, per-site default actions
(reject / accept / hide), and the statistics dashboard. Upgrading opens
https://glenkit.com/cookieguard.html in a normal tab - payment never happens inside
the extension.
