About Cookie Consent Checker by Consentify
Cookie Consent Checker shows which trackers and cookies a website loads before the visitor has agreed to anything.
GDPR and the ePrivacy rules say analytics and advertising tools have to wait for consent. Plenty of sites have a cookie banner, but the trackers load anyway. This extension makes that visible with one click.
WHAT IT DOES
- Click the icon to see which trackers ran before consent, who owns them, how risky they are and which cookies they set
- Shows which consent tool the site uses, out of more than 25 it recognizes
- Tells you when you have already answered a site's banner, so you know you are seeing the result after your choice
- "Reset consent and reload" clears that one site's cookies and storage, so you see what a first-time visitor gets
- "See full report" opens a full GDPR scan of the site on consentify.app
- Optional: turn on "Check every site automatically" and the icon shows how many trackers ran before consent on every site you visit
WHO IT IS FOR
- Web agencies checking client sites
- Developers making sure a consent setup actually holds scripts back
- Site owners who want to know what their site does before consent
- Anyone curious about who is watching
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything runs in your browser. The extension sends nothing anywhere: no analytics, no account, no data about the sites you visit. The only thing that leaves your browser is the full report link, and only when you click it.
GOOD TO KNOW
- It is a quick check from one browser, in one country, on one visit. Good for spotting problems, not a legal audit.
- Ad and content blockers stop trackers from loading, so results look cleaner than they really are while a blocker is on.
- Cookies set by the server and anything inside embedded frames are not visible to the extension. The full report on consentify.app covers those.
- The automatic check skips large sites where you are usually logged in, such as search engines, email and social networks. Click the icon to check them anyway.
Made by Consentify, a consent management platform from Norway. The extension uses the same tracker database as our server scanner, with over 130 trackers and consent tools.
