The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Cookie Combo — Auto-Clear Cookies & Reject Banners

Stop juggling two extensions for cookie privacy. Cookie Combo auto-clears cookies for the sites you choose the moment their last tab closes, and (Pro) auto-rejects cookie consent banners as you browse - reject cookies automatically instead of clicking "Accept" out of habit. Most cookie-privacy extensions do one job: either whitelist/blacklist-based cookie clearing, or consent-banner auto-reject - never both. Cookie Combo combines them, so you set your site rules once and stop seeing cookie banners at all. HOW IT WORKS Add a domain to your auto-clear list (or your never-clear whitelist) from the popup, in one click, for the site you're currently on. Cookie Combo watches for that site's last tab closing (chrome.tabs.onRemoved / chrome.windows.onRemoved) and removes its cookies right then via chrome.cookies - no waiting for a full browser restart. Prefer to act immediately? "Clear cookies now" wipes the current site's cookies on demand. Pro's banner auto-reject scans the page for the site's own reject/decline control and clicks it - the same action you'd take by hand, just automatic - with a generic text-match fallback ("Reject all", "Decline", "Disagree"...) for sites it doesn't specifically recognize. FEATURES (Free) - Auto-clear cookies for up to 5 sites - whitelist ("never clear") or blacklist ("auto-clear") - Clears on tab close and on full browser close - Manual "Clear cookies now" button for whatever site you're on - Simple status view: is this tab protected, and what rule applies here? FEATURES (Pro - $5 one-time) - Auto-reject cookie consent banners - 80%+ coverage tested across 1,000 sites in 40+ languages, recognizing dozens of major consent management platforms plus a generic fallback for everything else - Unlimited site rules - no 5-site cap - Per-cookie-type clearing - drop tracking/analytics cookies while keeping the login session on a site - Idle-based clearing - also clears after the browser sits idle for a set number of minutes, for tabs you leave open for days - Clear all except whitelist - auto-clear every site by default instead of listing each one - Deep clean - also wipes localStorage, IndexedDB, and cache for auto-cleared sites, not just cookies - Sync rules and settings across your devices via your Chrome profile - Clearing log - see exactly what was cleared, when, and for which site One-time $5 unlock via Lemon Squeezy - no subscription, no auto-renewal. WORKS EVERYWHERE Cookie Combo runs quietly in the background on every site you visit (the popup only opens when you click the toolbar icon), and Pro's banner detection works inside embedded/cross-origin frames too, since consent banners are often rendered by a third-party script in an iframe rather than the page itself. PRIVACY Cookie Combo makes no network requests on its own. Your site rules, settings, and (Pro) clearing log are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local - or, if you're Pro and turn on sync, mirrored through your signed-in Chrome profile's synced storage. The only network activity happens when you take an explicit action: pasting a Pro license key (checked directly against Lemon Squeezy's License API, no server of ours in between) or using "Report this site" (which sends the site's domain and the message you typed to our report endpoint so we can improve banner coverage). Nothing is ever sold to third parties. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED - storage - saves your site rules, settings, and (Pro) clearing log in your browser, and mirrors Pro settings through chrome.storage.sync if you enable cross-device sync - cookies - reads and removes cookies only for domains you've added a rule for, or the site you click "Clear cookies now" on - alarms - periodically re-checks your Pro license is still valid, and schedules Pro's idle-detection checks - idle - (Pro) detects when the browser has been idle long enough to trigger idle-based clearing - browsingData - (Pro) "Deep clean" clears localStorage/IndexedDB/cache for auto-cleared sites, not just cookies - Host access to all sites - lets the popup show cookie info for whatever site you're on, lets Pro's banner detector find and click a reject button on any site (it can't know in advance which sites you'll visit or add a rule for), and lets it read banners rendered inside cross-origin iframes Cookie Combo is an independent extension and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any consent-management platform or cookie-banner vendor.
