The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Consent Mode v2 Auditor
Consent Mode Auditor checks whether your Google Consent Mode v2 implementation actually works — not just whether it's configured, but whether the right signals reach Google Ads and GA4 in the right order.
What it audits:
- dataLayer timeline — every gtag('consent', ...) call, with a flag if default fires after GTM loads (the most common real-world bug)
- CMP-native ground truth — reads OneTrust, Cookiebot, and Didomi's own consent-change APIs directly, so you can see what the user actually clicked even when GTM handles it internally and never touches dataLayer
- Live network signals — decodes gcs/gcd straight off outgoing GA4/Ads requests, the real proof of what Google received
- Automatic flags — missing defaults, ordering bugs, CMPs not wired to Consent Mode, v1-only signals, unconfigured categories
Results persist across page reloads until you clear them, so you can test multiple consent scenarios back-to-back and compare. Export everything to CSV for a QA ticket or client audit.
Built for anyone debugging Consent Mode, GTM, or CMP integrations — no setup beyond loading the extension.
