About Confluence to SharePoint

Copy a Confluence page into SharePoint without retyping it. Open a Confluence Cloud page in Chrome and select SharePoint next to Share, or the extension's icon. Select Capture page, choose one of your SharePoint sites under Send to, and select Create draft. The extension opens the site in a background tab, creates a new, unpublished SharePoint page with the content there, and brings it to the front, so you can review it, edit it, and publish it when you are ready. Update or combine pages Choose a page under the site instead, and the popup asks how to send it. Add to bottom keeps the page and adds the Confluence page below it, with its title as a heading, so several Confluence pages can become one SharePoint page. Overwrite replaces the page's content, title, byline and date, keeping its address. Either way the change is an unpublished draft: readers keep the published page until you publish. When a Confluence page you sent changes, open the popup on it: the SharePoint pages you sent it to are listed, each with Update. One click puts the page's current content in place of what it sent, as an unpublished draft. On a page combined from several Confluence pages, only that page's part is replaced. A page renamed or moved within its Site Pages is found again; one that was deleted is crossed off, with Create a new page offered. Sent pages dashboard Select Dashboard in the popup to see every Confluence page you sent and the SharePoint pages it went to, by site. Select Refresh to see which Confluence pages were edited since you sent them: each is marked Changes available, No newer source update or Update status unknown. Select the ones to bring up to date and Update selected: they are updated one at a time, each as an unpublished draft, and the batch pauses whenever something needs you, such as a sign-in. Nothing is checked or updated until you ask. Your SharePoint sites The SharePoint sites you visit, and the pages of them you open, are remembered in your browser. Send to offers the sites you pin and the sites open in a tab, with their open pages, so the list stays short. Pin or unpin sites, and remove sites or pages, in the popup's Sites view. They stay in your browser. Turn on Keep in my Confluence account in the Sites view, and the list of pages you sent is also saved as private settings of your own account on the Confluence sites you send pages from, so Update follows you to another computer; no server of the developer's is involved. The setting and your pinned sites follow Chrome sync, when it is on, to your other Chrome browsers. What comes across • Headings, paragraphs, lists, numbered steps and check lists • Tables, with their column widths and cell colors • Info, note, tip, warning and other panels, as colored callouts • Code blocks, links, dates, mentions and emoji • Pictures in their original quality, with their captions, at the size Confluence showed them, including those inside numbered steps, tables, panels and quotes • Published pages, pages open in the editor, drafts and live docs What changes Anything that cannot come across exactly is listed in the popup's layout notes, so you know what to check before publishing. For example, live content such as a Jira issue list becomes a snapshot or a link, a picture that cannot be placed where it is becomes a link to its file, and very large pictures are scaled to what SharePoint can show. Safe by design • Nothing is ever published for you. A page you send into keeps showing its readers the published version until you publish, and its earlier version stays in its history. • Uses the Confluence and SharePoint accounts you are already signed in to: no extra sign-in, app registration or server. • Your content goes only to the SharePoint site you choose, and the sites and pages you visit are remembered in your browser (with Keep in my Confluence account on, the pages you sent also in your own Confluence account; the setting and your pins in Chrome's synced storage). No analytics or tracking. What you need • Chrome 127 or later • A Confluence Cloud page (atlassian.net) you can view • A SharePoint Online site (sharepoint.com) where you can create pages and upload files This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Atlassian or Microsoft.
