Comment Vibe for YouTube

Is the video worth your time? The comments know – Comment Vibe sums them up for you. The extension analyzes the comment section under any YouTube video and shows a compact widget with the overall sentiment right above the comments. Everything runs 100% locally in your browser: no account, no API key, no external servers. ⭐ WHAT YOU GET • Sentiment emoji with color accent: 😍/🙂 positive (green), 😐 mixed (yellow), 😕/😡 critical (red), 🔥 controversial (purple) • Score from 0 to 100 with a progress bar • A 1–2 sentence summary that names WHAT gets praised and WHAT gets criticized (e.g. "Editing and music get the most praise.") • Original quotes: the most weighty praise and criticism – one click jumps straight to the comment • The most frequent emojis in the comment section 🔥 DETECTS DIVIDED COMMENT SECTIONS A simple average hides controversy. Comment Vibe detects when enthusiasm and criticism are evenly matched and honestly labels it "Controversial" – instead of a misleading middle-of-the-road rating. 🧠 HOW THE ANALYSIS WORKS • Bilingual sentiment lexicon (English + German) with negation handling ("not good"), intensifiers ("really good") and emoji scoring • Comments with many likes count more than single opinions • Aspect analysis: editing, audio, music, humor, presentation, content & research, pacing, visuals, sponsorships, thumbnails • Result cache: previously analyzed videos appear instantly 🔒 PRIVACY • No data collection, no tracking, no external requests • The analysis never leaves your browser – not a single byte • Only permission: local storage for settings and cache ⚙️ USAGE Install and you're done – zero configuration. The popup lets you toggle the extension, show/hide quotes, re-analyze the current video and clear the cache.
