The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Cognitive Comfort
Calm browsing by default
Cognitive Comfort is a focused browser extension that aesthetically blurs media until you intentionally reveal it. The mission is to help you focus on what matters.
Features:
The product boundary is intentionally narrow:
- Hide images, video, canvases, embedded media, and CSS background images behind a blur.
- Optional global emoji blocking.
- Per-site overrides (force hide or show on a specific site).
- Reveal hidden media by hover, click, or a hold-to-peek keyboard shortcut.
What it deliberately does not do: block, filter, or rewrite page content beyond visual media, track you, or phone home. Preferences live entirely in local browser storage.
