About Coast Tag Inspector
Coast Tag Inspector shows what a website's tracking actually sends from the browser.
Health, finance and education brands increasingly route ad-platform data through a first-party or server-side tracking layer. A layer only protects a site when the browser stops sending the same data directly. Tag Inspector shows whether it does, on the page you are viewing.
WHAT IT SHOWS
Tracking layer
- Names the server-side or first-party layer on the page and the evidence for it: the JavaScript global, the loader snippet, the script and the requests it sends.
- Recognizes the common compliance-tracking vendors and collectors served from the brand's own subdomain.
- A one-line verdict tells you whether the layer runs alone or whether ad and analytics tags still fire from the browser beside it.
Leak flags
- Checks every browser hit to an ad or analytics platform for condition and treatment terms in the page URL, event name and parameters.
- Flags plain-text email addresses and phone numbers, personal fields in page URLs, and hashed identifiers sent from a condition page.
- The toolbar badge counts high-severity flags on the current tab.
Other third parties
- Lists maps, video embeds, external fonts and chat, form and scheduling widgets that open their own connection from the page, and marks what each one receives: the full page URL, or only the visitor's IP address and site.
Event log
- Lists every request to the layer and to the major ad and analytics platforms, with the event name and status.
- Each row opens to the full payload, with flagged fields highlighted.
- Preserve the log across page loads when you walk a funnel.
PRIVACY
Everything runs in your browser. The extension sends no data to Coast Studio or anyone else and contains no analytics of its own. The log lives in session storage and clears when you close the tab.
LIMITS
Server-to-server traffic never passes through the browser, so no extension can see it. Flags are leads for review and do not constitute legal advice.
