The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About #://CNXT $://THeXTeNSioN
Every page you read is already full of addresses. Nobody is using them.
#://CNXT $://THeXTeNSioN turns every hashtag, at-tag and cash tag on the open web into a live CNXT linx — and lets you cnxt the page you are standing on into the linx that owns its tag.
━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES
• Marks every #hashtag, @at-tag and $cash-tag on the page as a CNXT linx. The linx inherits the page's own typeface, size and colour and is marked only by a CNXT-red underline, so a linked tag reads as part of the sentence it was found in — not as an ad dropped on top of it.
• Makes every CNXT address written out in full clickable — #://CNXT, $://THeXTeNSioN, @://… — wherever it is posted. A click resolves the address on CNXT: an edition opens its page, or its 1-of-1 storefront once it is held; a tag opens its linx page; a CNXT service opens itself. Addresses are linked only. They are not tags, and they are never counted, sent or paid.
• Places a CNXT mark at the bottom center of any page. Press it to cnxt that page into the linx that owns its tag — its address, title, a visible-text excerpt, its declared language, the size of its HTML and its tags; never the HTML itself. On the search, hashtag, profile and feed pages of supported social platforms, or a Google results page, it cnxts the tagged posts on screen instead, each under its own address with only its own tags.
• Shows your position in the toolbar: what the network has allocated, how many tag linx exist, how many cnxts you have made, and what you have earned. Every figure is read live from the network; when a read fails the field says so instead of showing a zero.
• Connects to your CNXT account. Opening a free account opens your single CNXTPaY wallet with 500 $://USD of issued operating capital, once. Tags you mine while signed in accrue to that same wallet.
• Opens a mining console listing every mined tag linx with its address, its capture count, its miner count, and when it was first seen.
━━━━━ 1-OF-1
A tag linx is a single address, held once. The first miner to cnxt a tag is the one who condenses it out of the page and into the network. There is no second copy to mine, and no second copy to sell.
━━━━━ WHAT IT PAYS — AND WHAT IT DOES NOT
Mining pays the miner 39¢ per tag linx in $://USD, credited to the miner's CNXTPaY wallet. Payments from the network's allocation arrive as issued network capital — spendable across CNXT, not withdrawable. The conditions are stated here rather than discovered later:
• Payable only on pages the network can read for itself. Before a cnxt is paid or published, the CNXT server reads the address anonymously — no login, no cookies, never your session — and pays only for tags it finds in what it read. On some major platforms, whose pages answer an anonymous reader with a login wall, it reads the platform's public record of the individual post instead. A page it cannot read — private, behind a login, or served to it as an empty shell — is still recorded, marked unverified, and paid nothing. Your browser's word is never worth money.
• Payable inside the CNXT networx only. Two lanes qualify: shared-apex platforms where tags are natively written and read, and domains the networx already carries as real organisations. Everywhere else is "unlisted" — the capture is still recorded, the tag still becomes a linx and still routes, but no cents are paid.
• "Unlisted" is not a judgement about a site. It is the ordinary condition of most of the web, including sites that are entirely legitimate. It means only that the networx does not currently reach that domain.
• Spend is bounded by uniqueness and rate, not by preference. Tags are 1-of-1, a given miner/page/linx triple pays once, and both the source domain and the miner have hourly ceilings.
• The network's allocation is issued capital that kickstarts mining, and no payment outruns it. When it is unfunded the extension says so on its own face: mining still records data, and accrues nothing from it.
• Who owns the domain and who wrote the tag do not enter the price. What is bought is a 1-of-1 tag and the page cnxtd into it — not a claim of authorship, and not a claim of title to the host.
━━━━━ NO TRAFFIC DATA. NONE.
There is no traffic, ranking, popularity or reputation measurement anywhere in this network. None is collected and none is inferred. A quiet listed domain earns; a busy unlisted one does not.
━━━━━ WHAT IT READS, AND WHEN IT SENDS
The content script reads the page you are on in order to find tags and build the linx. Nothing about the page leaves your browser until you press the CNXT mark yourself — the handler accepts only a real, trusted press from the person at the keyboard, so a page cannot trigger a capture on your behalf.
━━━━━ WHAT IT IS, IN PLAIN TERMS
• Hashtag, at-tag and cashtag parser: finds #, @ and $ tags in a page's text and turns each into a link — a CNXT linx — in the page's own typeface. CNXT addresses written out in full (#://, @://, $://) become links too.
• Tag-to-address linking: every tag resolves to one web+usd:// address on the CNXT network; the same tag is the same linx everywhere.
• 1-of-1 tag mining: the first miner to cnxt a tag holds that tag linx; a mining console lists every mined linx with its address, capture count, miner count and first-seen time.
• Page capture on demand: one deliberate press of the CNXT mark sends the page's address, title, a visible-text excerpt, its declared language, the length of its HTML (never the HTML itself) and its tags to CNXT — or, on a platform's listing page, each tagged post's address, its tags and the page's language — nothing before, nothing else.
• Offline-first, peer-to-peer ledger behind it: CNXT keeps its records on its own network; the extension itself talks to a single CNXT origin and no other host.
• Zero tracking: no analytics, no browsing history, no third-party requests, no traffic or popularity measurement of any kind.
