The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Cloud Speed Dial Home
Cloud Speed Dial Home replaces your new tab with a fast, personal speed dial you can shape to match how you work and keep in sync with Google Drive when you sign in.
Automatic Google Drive sync (sign in with Google)
When you connect your Google account, the extension saves your setup to a private, app-specific area in Google Drive (the hidden app data folder not mixed with the files you see in Drive). That means:
All your spaces (grouped tabs of shortcuts for example work, personal, projects) are backed up.
Every shortcut titles and URLs is included.
All layout and appearance settings grid, tile size and shape, spacing, what you show or hide (search bar, titles, links, badges), and background choices stay consistent.
Custom images for shortcuts (and background images where you use them) are stored and compressed for performance, then kept in sync with the rest of your data.
Changes are written through your extension’s sync pipeline so your dials, order, preferences, and images can be restored after reinstall, on a new computer, or whenever you sign in again on another Chrome profile without rebuilding everything by hand.
Everything else you get
One-click shortcuts from every new tab.
Spaces to separate contexts; copy or move items between spaces.
Drag and drop to reorder shortcuts.
Make it yours: optional per-shortcut images; background options including default look, solid color, or image.
Works offline: the new tab still loads from your device; sync catches up when you’re back online.
Privacy in plain language
The extension uses Google sign-in and Drive access only to read and write your speed dial data in that private app folder. It is not meant to read or change your other Drive documents.
